Mixture between castle and temple

Yesterday I visited one temple with my parents that is located at the top of the mountain near the Lake Biwa.There is one peculiar story related to that temple.In old Samurai period there used to be a castle at the same mountain top built by the load who governed that area.However,his reign didn't last long because he was forced to kill himself by HARAKIRI on the charge of suspicious betrayal and consequently that castle was also demolished.His mother who grieved his death constructed a temple in order to console his soul though that temple was originally located in other place in Kyoto.The time dates forward to modern time around 40 years ago when that temple was move from Kyoto to that mountain where the dead soul originally existed.THerefore,the unique temple was completed with a remained stonewall of a castle at its underground level that can be rarely seen in other temples.

I'm sure that both his soul and his mother's one must be pleased in the heaven about the temple's soul return to its original place.
